Norovirus shuts two wards at Bath Royal United Hospital

Two wards at the Royal United Hospital in Bath remain closed to visitors due to the winter vomiting disease.

The hospital is asking visitors to stay away from the Waterhouse ward and the Surgical Admissions Unit until the restrictions are lifted.

Family members who have had symptoms of diarrhoea and vomiting in the past few days are asked not to come into the hospital, to stop the bug spreading.

Two other areas, the Midford Ward and the Respiratory Ward, have reopened.
