Somerset dog walker killed in car collision is Diane Sanders

A dog walker who died after being hit by a car near Chilcompton in Somerset has been identified by police.

Police said Diane Mary Sanders fell into the road after her dog was hit by a car along the B3139 at Lynch Hill, outside the village, on 12 July.

The 48-year-old was then hit by another vehicle and suffered a serious head injury.

She was treated by paramedics at the scene but died later, Avon and Somerset Police said.
