Houses evacuated after WW2 grenade discovery in Somerset

Houses were evacuated after the discovery of a World War II grenade at a property in Williton in Somerset.

Avon and Somerset Police were called to the scene at Larviscombe Close at about 08:30 BST.

An explosive ordnance disposal (EoD) team put a 60m (196 ft) cordon in place, which involved the evacuation of a small number of houses.

The grenade was declared safe and decommissioned and the cordon was lifted at about midday.
