A planning inquiry is under way after plans for four 120ft-tall (37m) wind turbines in Somerset were turned down by councillors.

Officials from Sedgemoor District Council rejected the application despite its planning officers recommending it for approval.

The company behind the plans, Next Generation, wants to erect the turbines on land at Poplar Farm, West Huntspill.

The appeal takes place at the Princess Hall in Burnham-on-Sea until Friday.

It then resumes at Bridgwater Town Hall on 7 March.

Members of the public can attend the inquiry and, at the inspector's discretion, express their views.
