Yeovil doctor found not guilty of sexually assaulting women

A Somerset doctor has been found not guilty of four counts of sexual assault.

Dr Habeeb Mohammad Abdul Latheef, 45, who works as a GP in Yeovil, had denied the allegations at Taunton Crown Court.

But the jury failed to reach a verdict on a further three counts of sexual assault which are alleged to have taken place in 2008 and 2011.

A spokeswoman for the Crown Prosecution Service said the prosecution would seek a retrial on the three charges.
