Taunton Lloyds Bank raid attempt man remanded in custody

A man is to face trial at crown court charged with attempted robbery after a raid at a bank in Taunton on Monday.

James Rashbrook, 32, of no fixed abode, was apprehended at Lloyds Bank in Fore Street shortly after midday.

He was also charged with possession of a bladed article, when he appeared at Taunton Magistrates' Court earlier.

He was remanded in custody and is due to appear next at Taunton Crown Court on 27 August.
