Plans for 203 new homes in Crewkerne are approved

Plans to build 203 homes on greenfield land at Crewkerne have been approved by South Somerset District Council.

Developers Taylor Wimpy Homes has been granted permission to build on a 30 acre (12 hectare) site, which lies to the east of the town, south of the A30.

The first section of a new link road, between the A30 and the A356, will also be built.

The decision to approve the application was made by the council's Area West Committee on Wednesday evening.
