Empty cash machine stolen in Yeovil store raid

Thieves have broken into a convenience store in Somerset and stolen an empty cash machine.

Three men forced their way into the One Stop Community Stores in Runnymede Road, Yeovil, and took the freestanding ATM.

Avon and Somerset Police said the burglary took place at about 04:30 GMT on Tuesday.

It was loaded on to the back of a Mitsubishi Shogun later found burnt out in a field in West Mudford.

The cash machine was also recovered in a damaged state.
