Family's 'nightmare' after daughter dies in A39 crash
The family of a teenager from Glastonbury who died in a car crash have spoken of the "nightmare" of losing another daughter.
Ellie Clare, 19, died along with fellow passenger, George Stott, 21, also from Glastonbury, in the A39 crash at Rush Hill on 27 June.
A third passenger remains in a critical but stable condition in hospital.
A police spokesman said Ellie's younger sister, Jasmine, died of meningitis aged seven in 2010.
In a statement, Ellie's family said: "At this time no words can come close to express the loss of Ellie we are feeling.
"Losing one daughter was every parent's nightmare - to have lost another is incomprehensible.
"The messages and flowers we've received have overwhelmed us and would like to thank everyone."
Two other people, including the driver, were treated for minor injuries.
"Although they were unable to help Ellie they helped her friend, which would have meant a lot to her," the family statement continued.
