Two rare baby tortoises stolen from an animal park have been found abandoned near the site.

The six-month-old reptiles, named Teo and Taylor, were taken from their enclosure by a visitor at Puxton Park, in Somerset, at about 15:00 GMT on Sunday.

In a separate incident on Saturday, Teo was stolen and then returned on Sunday.

Puxton Park said a passer-by found them and brought them back. They are now being cared for by a handler.

Avon and Somerset Police said they were investigating the matter.
