Bath's £6.2m riverside park and flood defence works begin

Work is about to start on a £6.2m transformation of the riverside areas in Bath city centre.

The Bath Quays Waterside project involves flood defence work between Churchill Bridge and Midland Bridge to protect over 100 homes and businesses.

The design also includes a riverside park linking to offices and a "creative quarter".

The work will see the river widened to improve flow in times of flooding and is expected to be finished in 2016.
