The funeral of a four-year-old girl killed in a tipper truck crash will be held at Bath Abbey on Monday.

Mitzi Steady was walking with her grandmother on Lansdown Lane in the city when she was hit by the truck on 9 February.

Her family said anyone "touched by her short life in some way" was welcome at the funeral, to be held at 13:00 GMT.

They asked donations be made to road safety charity Brake as an alternative to flowers.

A campaign launched after Mitzi's death has so far raised more than £11,500.

In a statement, Mitzi's family thanked well-wishers for messages of support.

"We thank you for all of the kind words and donations to date, they give us strength," they said.

Detectives are still investigating the crash, in which four people were killed.

Phil Allen, 52, and Stephen Vaughan, 34, from Swansea, and Robert Parker, 59, of Cwmbran, also died. Mitzi's grandmother remains critically ill in hospital.

Two men arrested in connection with the crash have been bailed by police.
