Man, 94, dies in Sheffield mobility scooter accident

A 94-year-old man has died after falling from his mobility scooter in a Sheffield suburb, police have said.

The man hit his head on the road after falling from the footpath near the junction of Angerford Avenue and Norton Lees Lane in Norton last Tuesday.

He was taken to Sheffield's Northern General Hospital where he died on Thursday, a South Yorkshire Police spokeswoman said.

She urged anyone who witnessed the incident to contact police.
