Sheffield half marathon: thousands run for charity

More than 4,500 runners took part in the 30th Sheffield half marathon on Sunday.

Organisers of this year's event have set a target of raising £100,000 for 10 nominated charities.

Since it started in 1982 the race has raised a total of more than £600,000 for dozens of charities.

Elite and amateur runners set off on the 13-mile (21km) route from the city's Don Valley Stadium. Families also took part in a 3km fun run.
