A 19-year-old man has been arrested in France in connection with the killing of a Sheffield father.

Zabihullah Rafiq, 30, died from a stab wound to the chest on 29 May, near his home on Callow Mount in Gleadless.

French police arrested the 19-year-old in Marseille last Friday after a Sheffield district judge issued a European arrest warrant.

He is due to be extradited to the UK where he will attend crown court to face a murder charge, police said.

The extradition process is expected to take between two and three weeks to complete.

South Yorkshire Police said they were also trying to trace another man connected to the investigation who is known to have left the UK.
