Ex Sheffield law firm workers in court over drug charges

Two women who worked for a Sheffield law firm have appeared in court charged with conspiracy to deal class A drugs.

Angela Stevens, 29, of Shire Oaks Road, Worksop and Jade Dutton, 23, of Stoney Bank Drive, Kiveton Park, Sheffield, appeared at Sheffield Crown Court.

They were released on bail to appear at a hearing in September.

Ms Dutton worked as an admin clerk at Howell's solicitors and Ms Stevens was a secretary. Both are no longer employed at the firm.

The women were arrested as part of a police operation which resulted in charges against a number of people accused of conspiracy to supply drugs.

Ms Dutton is accused of conspiracy to deal cocaine and heroin and also charged with conspiring to pervert the course of justice.

Ms Stevens is accused of conspiracy to deal cocaine.
