Hundreds of cannabis plants found at Doncaster house

Hundreds of cannabis plants being cultivated at a property in Doncaster have been destroyed by police.

Officers raided the house in Don Street where they found a total of 259 plants with an estimated crop value of £103,000.

A spokesman for South Yorkshire Police said the cultivation operation had been dismantled and all the plants and equipment destroyed.

A 39-year-old man is expected to appear in court on 5 September.
