Two men held over pedestrian's death in Sheffield

Two men have been arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving after a woman was killed on a pedestrian crossing in Sheffield.

The 24-year-old woman was crossing Hanover Way at about 22:30 GMT on Saturday when she was hit by a Honda Civic.

A 22-year-old man from Nottingham and a 23-year-old man from Sheffield, who were in the Honda, have been arrested.

South Yorkshire Police has appealed for witnesses to get in touch.
