Leeds personalities to feature in steel sculpture
Three personalities from Leeds have been nominated by members of the public to be immortalised in steel.
Veteran DJ Sir Jimmy Savile, charity fundraiser Jane Tomlinson and Segway boss Jimi Heselden were chosen in the vote, held by charity Sustrans.
The 2D life-size sculptures, which will feature alongside a wooden bench, will be installed on the Wyke Beck Way between Roundhay Park and Seacroft.
The artwork is due to be unveiled next year.
The three sculptures are part of a national public art installation by cycling charity Sustrans, which has commissioned the work after receiving money from the Big Lottery Fund.
