Man arrested after Barnsley stabbing murder

A 29-year-old man has died after he was stabbed during a disturbance in Barnsley, South Yorkshire.

The local man, who has not been named, died soon after the incident in Colley Crescent, in the Kendray area, at about 02:00 GMT.

A 36-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in police custody.

South Yorkshire Police urged anyone with information about the incident to call officers by dialling 101.
