An inquest into the death of murdered South Yorkshire teenager Casey-Lyanne Kearney has been opened and adjourned.

The 13-year-old died when she was stabbed in Elmfield Park, Doncaster, on 14 February.

The inquest, at Doncaster Coroner's Court, heard that a second post mortem examination would take place on Thursday.

Hannah Bonser, 26, of Cusworth House, Doncaster, has been charged with Casey-Lyanne's murder.

She is also charged with two counts of possession of a bladed article.

Casey-Lyanne, from Rossington, was on her way to meet a friend when she was stabbed in Elmfield Park at about 13:15 GMT on Tuesday.

The teenager was treated at the scene by police and paramedic after she dialled 999.

She was taken by ambulance to hospital where she died at 21:25 GMT.
