Man injured in Doncaster police pursuit crash dies
A man who was injured in a car crash while being pursued by police near Doncaster has died in hospital.
South Yorkshire Police said a 19-year-old man died from head injuries sustained when the car crashed into a digger in Stainforth on 21 May.
The car passenger was taken by air ambulance to Leeds General Infirmary, where he died on 23 May.
The case has been referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
Andrew McMinn, 19, from Dunscroft, Doncaster, has appeared at Doncaster Magistrates Court charged with causing death by dangerous driving and driving without a valid licence or insurance.
He will stand trial at Doncaster Crown Court on 1 June.
