Two men have been jailed for a total of 41 years for the manslaughter of a 42-year-old man in Rotherham.

Tyron Woodhead was shot on the doorstep of his home on 20 September. He later died from his injuries in hospital.

Stephen Rodgers, 30, no fixed abode, was sentenced to 21 years imprisonment for manslaughter.

Nathan Wingfield, 23, no fixed abode, received 20 years for manslaughter and five years for robbery.

Both men pleaded guilty to the charges at Sheffield Crown Court.

The senior investigating officer Det Supt Matt Fenwick said: "This is a tragic case where a mother, daughter, brother and father have lost a loved one.

"This case shows exactly how criminal acts, particularly involving the use of violence, can go so very wrong.

"I would like to thank the Woodhead family and the local community for the strength and support that they have shown through this difficult and traumatic time."
