Man in hospital after Sheffield shooting

A man is in hospital after a shooting in Sheffield.

The 34-year-old victim had to have surgery after sustaining bullet wounds, but his injuries are not believed to be life-threatening.

The emergency services were called to reports of a firearm being discharged on Rock Street at about 23:15 BST on Thursday.

South Yorkshire Police have urged anyone with information about the shooting to come forward.
