A 15-year-old boy has been arrested after an alleged arson attack at a Sheffield ski centre.

The blaze at Ski Village, Vale Road, on Wednesday came a year after the site's main building was destroyed by fire.

A shed and two large wooden outbuildings, thought to be part of the former children's playground, were alight when fire crews arrived.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for information about the incident and said the boy remained in custody.

A South Yorkshire Fire and Rescue spokesman said the service had received more than 100 calls about the blaze.
