Olivia Pollard named as three-year-old 'left for dead'

A three-year-old girl "left for dead" in the road after a hit-and-run involving three off-road motorbikes has been named by police.

Olivia Pollard from Rotherham, South Yorkshire, was crossing Ridgeway with her mother when she was hit by one, or more, of the motorbikes on Wednesday.

Olivia is in Sheffield Children's Hospital but "making significant improvements" and could soon be released, South Yorkshire Police said.

The force is searching for the riders.
