Four men held after man seriously hurt in Rotherham bar

Metz Bar in Rotherham Police want to hear from anyone who saw the altercation at the bar

Four men have been arrested after a man was seriously injured in a South Yorkshire bar on Christmas Day.

The man was hurt in an altercation at the Metz Bar in Rotherham just before 02:00 GMT on Wednesday and was taken to hospital.

Three men, aged 20, 25 and 27, were arrested on suspicion of wounding and have been bailed.

A 21-year-old man remains in custody on suspicion of perverting the course of justice.

South Yorkshire Police are appealing for witnesses.
