Bradfield woman tied up as home 'ransacked'

A 69-year-old woman was tied up as her Peak District home was "ransacked" by burglars, police have said.

Three men believed to be in their late teens "burst into" the woman's home in Mortimer Road, Bradfield, at 09:10 GMT.

South Yorkshire Police said one of the men restrained her while the others searched the house, stealing items including a television.

They left the woman tied up before leaving the house but she was not hurt.

A police spokeswoman said the men were described as white and wore dark clothing with their hoods up.
