Michael Riches killing: Partner Anthony McCall jailed

A man has been jailed for more than five years for killing his partner with a broken glass bottle at his home in Rotherham.

Anthony McCall, 56, was sentenced at Sheffield Crown Court to five years and six months for the manslaughter of Michael Riches, 59.

Mr Riches died in hospital after he was found injured at his home in Swinburne Place, Herringthorpe, on 6 October.

A post mortem found he died from an injury to his arm from a broken bottle.
