Doncaster Care UK workers end strikes over pay
Care workers in Doncaster have ended their long-running dispute over pay and employment terms.
Care UK employees voted to accept a 2% pay rise for the next three years as well as a £500 payment this year, union Unison said.
Bosses at Care UK said they were "very pleased" to have reached an agreement.
About 70 staff who help with assisted living for people with learning disabilities had taken 90 days of action since February.
Jim Bell, regional organiser of Unison, said: "The magnificent action of our members has produced significant improvements from the employer's original position.
"We have been able, by our action, to win 12 months' pay protection tax free, we have restored the principle of premium rates for unsocial hours and we have won a 2% or consumer price index (CPI) pay award, whichever is the greater, for the next three years, as well as a £500 unconsolidated payment this year."
