A Sheffield man has been jailed for three years and nine months for killing a student with a single punch.

Nathan Tomlinson, 24, of Haslam Crescent, Lowedges, attacked Anowar Tagabo on a night out in Sheffield city centre on 25 May.

Tomlinson had admitted manslaughter at Sheffield Crown Court in October.

Hundreds of people attended the funeral of Mr Tagabo, 25, who was studying peace and development at Bradford University, in August.

Mr Tagabo, originally from Sudan, was knocked unconscious by Tomlinson on Sheffield's Carver Street.

He was taken to hospital where he died on 3 June from a head injury.
