Sheffield car shooting: Further arrest over Jordan Thomas murder

A third man has been arrested over the death of a man in Sheffield who was shot while in a car at traffic lights in the city.

Jordan Thomas, 22, was shot in Derek Dooley Way on 21 December.

A 20-year-old Sheffield man has been held in custody.

A 32-year-old man appeared before Sheffield Crown Court earlier charged with Mr Thomas' murder and the attempted murder of a 27-year-old man, who was also in the car.

Asif Yousaf, of Violet Bank Road, Sheffield, was remanded in custody until 24 March when he is due to appear at the same court for a plea hearing.

A second man, aged 25, remains on police bail pending further enquiries.

Mr Thomas died from gun shot injuries in hospital after the shooting at about 22:15 GMT.
