Sheffield car shooting: Jordan Thomas murder suspect bailed

A 20-year-old arrested on suspicion of murdering a Sheffield man who was shot while in a car at traffic lights in the city has been released on bail.

Jordan Thomas, 22, was shot in Derek Dooley Way on 21 December.

The 20-year-old man, from Sheffield, was arrested on Wednesday and has now been bailed pending further enquiries.

A 32-year-old man is charged with Mr Thomas' murder and the attempted murder of a 27-year-old man, who was also in the car.

Asif Yousaf, of Violet Bank Road, Sheffield, was remanded in custody until 24 March when he is due to appear before Sheffield Crown Court for a plea hearing.

Another man, aged 25, remains on police bail pending further enquiries.

Mr Thomas died from gunshot injuries in hospital after the shooting at about 22:15 GMT.
