Teenager arrested in Balby murder investigation

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of a man found dead at his home in Doncaster.

The body of Christopher Cumpsty, 43, was discovered at a property in Cross Street, Balby, on 11 March. A post-mortem examination revealed he died as a result of multiple injuries.

South Yorkshire Police said the teenager is in police custody.

His arrest brings the total number of people held in connection with Mr Cumpsty's death to three.

A 45-year-old man arrested on suspicion of murder on Monday remains in police custody. A 41-year-old woman arrested on suspicion of the same offence has been released on bail.
