Girl, four, injured in Stoke-on-Trent accident

A four-year-old girl who was knocked down by a car has been taken to hospital.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to King William Street in Stoke-on-Trent on Sunday afternoon.

The girl had suffered a lower leg injury in the crash, a spokeswoman added.

The child was treated at the scene before being taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire. Nobody else was injured in the incident.
