Fuel worth £45k stolen from Morrisons filling station

Thieves took £45,000 of petrol and diesel from a supermarket filling station in Staffordshire.

The raiders are thought to have used a tanker to take the 38,000 litres (8,358 gallons) of fuel away from Morrisons in Burton-on-Trent.

Police said the theft, in Wellington Street, took place between midnight and 0400 BST on Monday.

Any witnesses who may have seen the tanker or any large vehicle at the supermarket should contact police.
