Man injured in Staffordshire hang glider fall

A man has been airlifted off a hillside after falling about 20ft (6m) from his hang glider in Staffordshire.

He was flying over Wetton Hill in the Peak District at about 1540 BST on Monday when he fell off.

West Midlands Ambulance Service said the 40-year-old man landed on the ground about halfway up the hill.

He was given pain relief and placed in a neck collar on a spinal board then airlifted to University Hospital North Staffordshire for further treatment.
