Stoke-on-Trent fatal stabbing treated as murder

An incident in which a man was fatally stabbed in Stoke-on-Trent is being treated as murder, police have said.

Police were called to reports of a fight in Bond Street, Tunstall, on Monday night.

Officers found an injured 30-year-old man. He was taken to hospital but later died.

Two women and two men were still being questioned, while a 20-year-old woman who was arrested earlier was released without charge, police said.

Police are still appealing for information about the incident.

Supt Laurie Whitby-Smith from Staffordshire Police said: "We are now treating the incident as a murder investigation.

"A team of experienced detectives from the force's major investigation department are working with local neighbourhood officers to fully investigate the incident."
