Driver killed by falling tree in Staffordshire is named

A driver killed when a tree fell across a Staffordshire road in high winds has been named.

The tree hit Stephen Cutler's silver Mercedes on the A458 in Stourton at about 2330 GMT on Thursday, police said.

Mr Cutler, 51, from Kinver, was the only person in the vehicle.

The road was closed for five-and-a-half hours as police investigated at the scene. The Staffordshire force has appealed for witnesses to come forward.
