Receivers called to Leek clothing firm

Receivers have been called in to Staffordshire clothing firm CDU, which used to be called Slimma.

The Leek company, which changed its name after selling the Splendour and Slimma brands for £800,000, is being run by administrators.

The sale of the two brands to the N Brown Group was revealed in January.

The workforce has been cut to under 40 in Leek and Etruria. MCR has been appointed as administrative receivers by one of CDU's creditors.
