Women plead not guilty to murder in Stoke-on-Trent

Two women from Stoke-on-Trent have denied murdering a man.

William Anderson, 38, died from a single stab wound to his chest at his home on Chorlton Road, in Birches Head, on 16 January.

Bridget Purcell, 42, of Boulton Street and Stephanie Stubbs, 23, of no fixed address, appeared at Stafford Crown Court on Friday.

They were remanded into custody and are due to go on trial on 1 August at Stafford Crown Court.
