Staffordshire Police have shut down a drugs den in Stoke-on-Trent as part of a drive to reduce drug related crime.

The house on Blenheim Street, in Fenton, was boarded up on 10 May after officers got a closure order from Staffordshire magistrates.

It means no-one can live at or enter the property for three months.

Ch Insp Peter Hall, said the order is part of Operation Nemesis which aims to tackle drug dealing in communities throughout the county.

He said: "This should be a strong warning to those who deal in drugs and contribute to community nuisance that they risk losing their home if they continue with their chosen lifestyle.

"Our communities tell us they want to see positive and robust action against drug dealers and the anti-social behaviour it attracts."
