£6m for Keele University science park development
A sum of £6m is being invested in a science park development where it is hoped 130 jobs will be created.
Staffordshire County Council is giving the money to the Keele University Science Business Park, near Newcastle-under-Lyme.
The council said it was doing all it could to improve the country's prosperity through enterprise.
A spokesman added the council was confident of seeing a good return for taxpayers.
The science park currently serves bio-tech, medical and information technology industries and the £6m will go towards a new development there.
