M6 crash: Driver airlifted from Staffordshire motorway
A van driver has been airlifted to hospital after collapsing at the wheel on the M6 in Staffordshire.
West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the southbound carriageway at junction 14, for Stafford North, shortly before 0730 BST.
The motorway was closed in both directions to allow the helicopter to land on the carriageway.
The driver, thought to have suffered a cardiac arrest, was resuscitated and his condition was described as serious.
