Major fire at former bathroom factory Botteslow Street

More then 40 firefighters have been tackling a major fire at a former bathroom factory in Stoke-on-Trent.

Crews were called to a disused three-storey building in Botteslow Street in Hanley shortly before 1800 BST, a spokesman said.

Botteslow Street has been closed and firefighters are using water from the nearby Trent and Mersey Canal.

Staffordshire Fire Service said the building is well alight and the cause was not yet known.
