Motorcyclist in Longnor road sign crash

A motorcyclist has been airlifted to hospital after apparently crashing into a road sign in Staffordshire.

The collision happened at Barrow Moor in Longnor at approximately 16:30 BST on Saturday.

The biker - a man in his 20s - suffered multiple injuries, including a broken leg and pelvis and a dislocated shoulder.

He is currently being treated at the University Hospital of North Staffordshire.

A spokeswoman for West Midlands Ambulance Service said: "On arrival at the scene crews found a motorcyclist who had come off his bike after he had reportedly been in collision with a road sign.

"The motorcyclist, a man in his mid 20s, had been out riding with a group of friends when the incident happened."
