Spot Acre crash victim's face hurt by 6in splinter

A 6in long wooden splinter from a fence post penetrated a man's face when his car overturned in Staffordshire.

A car overturned and went through a hedge near Fox Earth, Spot Acre, Stone, at about 04:00 BST.

Two ambulances and a paramedic in a rapid response vehicle attended the scene of the crash.

The injured man was taken to hospital along with a man in his twenties who had back pain and abrasions. No other vehicles were involved.
