Biddulph to get temporary post office
Almost 20,000 people in Staffordshire are to get a post office again - three months after the previous one shut.
The town of Biddulph has been without a service since Haldanes, the supermarket chain which operated the post office, went into administration.
Local independent councillor Andrew Hart said the post office would open in a temporary building in the town hall's car park in mid-October.
It will stay for up to nine months until a permanent location is found.
Mr Hart said: "It is robust enough to look after the needs of Biddulph people until Post Office Limited can sort out a permanent home."
Customers have been faced with trips to Brown Lees, Biddulph Moor and Congleton.
