Stoke-on-Trent's Johnson Tiles to cut jobs

Job cuts are planned at a Stoke-on-Trent tile firm which employs 400 people.

Johnson Tiles will not confirm how many jobs are at risk but it has started a 30-day consultation. The firm, in Haregate Street, blamed the move on rising costs of energy and materials.

Chief executive Stephen Dixon said the company would also be changing some of its business processes.

The company manufacturers and imports ceramic wall and floor tiles.
