Seven people hurt in bus and car collision in Stoke

Seven people have been injured in a collision involving a bus and a car in Stoke on Trent.

West Midlands Ambulance Service was called to the junction of Trentham Road and School Lane in Barlaston shortly after 09:55 BST.

Six bus passengers and the car driver were taken to the University Hospital of North Staffordshire for "further assessment and treatment".

The ambulance service added that "no-one was seriously injured".

West Midlands Ambulance Service said those taken to hospital included a four-year-old boy who had an eye injury.

Four women, including the driver of the car, and two men were also taken to hospital.

The ambulance service said the bus driver was not hurt.
